Food and nutrition

All food is prepared fresh on the premises by staff who hold a food safety certificate. We are proud to say we have the highest rating for food prep and safety. We provide a well balanced diet, providing each child with at least 4 of their 5 a day. We only use wholemeal/wholegrain bread, pasta & rice products in our menu's

 

We operate a 3 week rota with the following menu's

 

 

WEEK 1

Monday

AM snack - Wholemeal toast with milk.

Lunch - Tuna pasta with sweetcorn & apple.

PM snack - Devon scones with jam & butter and pineapple.

 

Tuesday

AM snack - Porridge with milk.

Lunch - Vegetable risotto & banana.

PM snack  - Bagels with cheese, cherry tomatoes & cucumber.

 

Wednesday

AM snack - Fresh fruit & milk. (strawberries, apple & melon)

Lunch - Corned beef hash with beans.

PM snack - Ham sandwiches & mango.

 

Thursday

AM snack - Weetabix with milk.

Lunch - Vegetarian sausage, new potatoes, peas & gravy - Banana.

PM snack - Fruit toast & blueberries.

 

Friday

AM snack - Banana malt loaf & milk.

Lunch - Macaroni cheese & broccoli - fresh pear.

PM snack - Fruit salad with Greek yogurt. (Pineapple, tangerines, banana)

 

WEEK 2

Monday

AM snack - Yoghurt & raisins

Lunch - Fish & vegetable curry with rice.

PM snack - Spaghetti on toast & kiwi.

 

Tuesday

AM snack - Weetabix with milk.

Lunch - Spaghetti Bolognese.

PM snack - Fresh fruit with Greek yogurt (tangerines, pineapple & apple)

 

Wednesday

AM snack - Fresh fruit (raspberries, melon, banana)

Lunch - Tomato & basil pasta bake with Mediterranean vegetables.

PM snack - Crumpets & raisins.

 

Thursday

AM snack - Porridge with milk.

Lunch - Scouse with beetroot.

PM snack - Pitta bread fingers, carrots, cucumber & dips.

 

Friday

AM snack - Wholemeal toast with milk.

Lunch - Sweet n sour chicken with noodles.

PM snack - Bananas & custard.

 

WEEK 3

Monday

AM snack - Yoghurt & raisins.

Lunch - Salmon & broccoli pasta bake.

PM snack - Potato wedges, dips & pear.

 

Tuesday

AM snack - Wholemeal toast & milk.

Lunch - Jacket potatoes, tuna, sweetcorn & salad.

PM snack - Fresh fruit salad & Fromage frais.

 

Wednesday

AM snack - Crumpets & milk.

Lunch - Pork & vegetable curry with rice & naan bread.

PM snack - Ham wraps with cucumber.

 

Thursday

AM snack - Weetabix with milk.

Lunch - Lasagne & garlic bread.

PM snack - Beans on wholemeal toast & apple.

 

Friday

AM snack - Fresh fruit. (apple, kiwi, melon)

Lunch - Shepherds pie with mixed vegetables.

PM snack - Chicken & sweetcorn soup with prawn crackers.
